How Can severe Lower Back Pain Be Treated?

Hi so I m 17 and I went to the gym in last Monday and when I was doing a low back row I hurt my back. At furtst I thought I pulled my back but now when I bend over if feel pain really low. Could it just be back pain this low. it s like at the start of my look. Could this be my tailbone? has anyone ever had anything like this? What would the symptoms be ? How long would it take to heal ? will it get better day by day ? Lastly it does hurt when I sit slouched over or upright but on like a hard surface ? Please tell me what I should do ? Can I go to the gym tomorrow to work on arms? also I don t feel the pain going to my legs so could this guy s be pain in the low back going this low ? Thank you for anyone that gives advice.

Hello, as per your description it's most likely that you have pulled a muscle. As its going to hurt on movements related to that area so I would suggest you, take a break from the gym for at least a week.if the pain is not bearable and it's there all the time then I would suggest you to visit a doctor in person, physical check up will be helpful just to see what's the extent of the injury and its seriousness and also if need to run some tests for it, that will be advised. For now, temporarily you can take muscle relaxant(tablet zerodol-MR twice a day after food) or use a pain killer spray or gel or ointment on the area where it hurts till you go to the doctor.Try to reduce the movements of the lower back.Take rest and use a hot bag on the area that hurts which will give some relief if you do slight compression with it in the area.More you take rest faster you will recover.Next time while exercising careful with the stretching and use of suitable weight as per your strength.Or do it under instructions of a trainer so that such injuries can be avoided.Wish you a speedy recovery.Stay healthy
